Position Statement:

Manage spend in the assigned category

 

Position Summary:

Serve as the local champion for all the Food & Beverage category internally and externally. Consolidation of spend within the cluster, kingdom and region. Centralize all purchasing processes. Preparing necessary bids and RFP document for the assigned category; including OS&E and FF & E. Assure proper & timely supplier setup and PO processing. Review and Prepare purchasing reporting and analytics as needed and align with the Hilton Supply Management Regional team

Purchasing Analyst/Purchasing Executive/Purchasing Agent/Purchasing Cordinator

 

Qualifications

 

The success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·       Ability to effectively deal with a variety of persons thus needs excellent levels of patience, tact and diplomacy.

·       Has fluent knowledge of English, both spoken and written.

·       Strong computer literacy including knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office Suite

·       Birchstreet and Ariba strongly encouraged 

 

Required Qualifications

·       Minimum Education: Diploma  / Graduate

·       Minimum Years of Experience: 3-5 years

·       Management Experience (type): 0-1 years

·       Additional Requirements (i.e. % of travel time, etc.): Ability to travel to attend periodic meetings/training inside and outside of the kingdom(less than 5%)

 

Preferred Qualifications

·       Education: High School Diploma

·       Minimum Years of Experience: 5


 

Supportive Functions

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.

  • Cluster champion and first point of contact on all F&B requests

  • Coordinate internal and external training

  • Prioritize support issues

  • Educate HOD’s on proper supplier setup procedures

  • Timely processing of PO’s and requests

  • Champion the HSMS SharePoint

  • Manage system clean-up projects

  • Analyze spend captured vs actuals

  • Ensure efficient and effective use of purchasing systems across all departments

  • Agreeing on data input standards and establishing clearly defined work instructions

  • Purchasing systems data accuracy

  • Purchasing systems compliance to the Hilton standards and processes

  • Timely and accurate purchasing report issuance

  • Create a collaborative environment-internally and externally

  • New team member on-boarding in accordance to local and hotel regulations

  • Maintain-at all times- all local work, audit, fire protection and evacuation regulations of the hotel

  • Comply with Hotel standards in relation to personal hygiene & ensure grooming is in line with Hilton Worldwide policy

  • Support the team in maintenance of HAACP standards

  • Additional special projects based on changing business needs
