What are we looking for?

We are seeking a Cluster Director of Sales and Marketing who can lead execution of the sales & marketing strategy through managing the relationship with the other departments and by working effectively with the regional and area support teams. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills across different functions and levels within the business, including with Management and Ownership groups.
  • A demonstration of Leadership skills to ensure driving the vision for all revenue streams, from a Divisional, Cluster and hotel perspective.
  • Extensive knowledge of marketing, negotiating and sales procedures associated with the hotel industry.
  • Ability to perform critical analysis.
  • Sales experience in either field or on-site environment
  • Adaptable to travel as required and schedule changes.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and possession of a full understanding of professional ethics, decorum and social skills.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience Required
  • Significant experience of three (3) or more years in revenue management or analytical roles.
  • Leadership and Team Management.
  • Prior hotel/travel industry experience.
  • Requires substantial operations/sales leadership experience; preferably 7 years or more.
  • Comparable hotel size and scope experience preferred.
  • Proven track record of successes in achieving revenue objectives.
  • Proven ability to recruit, motivate and train sales team.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Adaptable experience with travel industry reservation systems.
  • Adaptable experience with hotel property management systems.
  • Strong experience in hospitality forecasting, pricing and inventory control

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • Knowledge of the local market
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry
  • A passion for sales and target-based performance
  • Relevant degree, in sales, business development or other relevant business field, from an academic institution
